In "There Goes the Bride, Part 1," the Goldens Girls find themselves in the middle of a family feud when Dorothy's daughter, Kate, decides to get married. However, things quickly become complicated when Kate's father, Stan, announces that he's also getting married to his much younger girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Blanche is dealing with her own romantic troubles when her boyfriend, Ted, tells her he's been offered a job on the West Coast and she must choose whether to go with him.
