As spring approaches in Miami, Blanche is feeling the pressure to find a date for her sorority's annual Spring Dance. However, when she is unable to secure a date, she decides to invite the other Golden Girls to be her guests. The ladies are hesitant at first, but ultimately agree to attend the dance with Blanche.
Meanwhile, Rose is struggling with her own dilemma – she's been offered a job as a grief counselor for a local funeral home. While she's excited about the opportunity to help others, she's also feeling conflicted about working in such a somber profession. With encouragement from her friends, Rose decides to take the job and give it a chance.
As the night of the Spring Dance approaches, the ladies prepare for a fun evening out. However, their plans are derailed when they discover that the dance is being held at a stuffy country club. Undeterred, they decide to make the best of the situation and enjoy the evening together.
Things take an unexpected turn when Blanche's ex-husband, George, shows up at the dance. Though Blanche tries to brush him off, it quickly becomes clear that George is still carrying a torch for her. As the night goes on, Blanche must navigate her complicated feelings for George while also trying to enjoy her time with her friends.
Meanwhile, Rose's new job proves to be more challenging than she anticipated. She finds herself struggling to connect with her clients and wondering if she's made a mistake in accepting the position. However, with some wise words from her friends, Rose is able to find her footing and ultimately help those who need it most.
In the end, the ladies return home from the Spring Dance with a renewed appreciation for each other and all of life's ups and downs. Through their individual struggles, they have rediscovered the strength and resilience of their bond – proving that the rites of spring can lead to growth and renewal in unexpected ways.
