Ep 9. The Beverly Goldberg Cookbook: Part 2

Beverly Goldberg always has a recipe up her sleeve. And in this episode, she’s got a whole cookbook full of them. Inspired by her culinary skills, Adam and Barry decide to create a cooking show with their mom as the star. But things don’t go exactly as planned.

When Beverly finds out that her boys have been using her recipes without her permission, she’s beyond furious. Not only that, but she discovers that the boys have been adding their own ridiculous touches to her classic dishes. Her tuna casserole has been turned into something resembling a spaceship, and her chicken pot pie has been filled with ketchup.

Despite Beverly’s anger, Adam and Barry forge ahead with their documentary. They’re determined to capture their mom’s cooking for the world to see. But when they show their footage to Pops, he’s less than impressed. The boys realize that their project might not be as great as they thought.

Meanwhile, Erica, Geoff, and Valley Erica are embroiled in a different kind of drama. With Thanksgiving coming up, Valley Erica is stressed about having to cook dinner for her new boyfriend’s family. Erica and Geoff agree to help, but quickly realize that they may have bitten off more than they can chew. They struggle to handle all of the responsibilities that come with hosting a Thanksgiving dinner, from turkey basting to table setting.

Throughout the episode, Beverly and her sons work to reconcile their differences. In the end, they come together to create a successful cooking show with Beverly as the star. The boys promise to respect their mom’s recipes and to give her full credit for all of her culinary creations.

Meanwhile, Erica and Geoff find that their Thanksgiving dinner is a success. Though they end up burning the turkey, they come up with a creative solution that satisfies both their tastes and the taste buds of Valley Erica’s boyfriend’s family.
