Ep 5. Family Takes Care of Beverly

Beverly, the matriarch of the Goldberg family, is known for her overprotectiveness and constant hovering over her children. However, in season 2 episode 5 of The Goldbergs, titled "Family Takes Care of Beverly," Beverly finds herself in a vulnerable position when she gets sick and her family must step up to take care of her.

And Barry, the impulsive jock, tries to take over Beverly's duties at home with disastrous results.

Despite their efforts, Beverly continues to decline, and it becomes clear that she needs more help than her family can provide. Murray tries to hire a nurse to take care of her, but Beverly stubbornly refuses, insisting that she doesn't need anyone but her family.

Eventually, Beverly's condition becomes so severe that she has to be hospitalized. At the hospital, her family rallies around her, showing how much they care in their own unique ways. They bicker and argue, but ultimately they come together to support their mom.

In the end, Beverly recovers from her kidney stone and returns to her overprotective ways, much to the chagrin of her children. But they all know that even though she can be a handful, she's the glue that holds their family together.

"Family Takes Care of Beverly" is a heartwarming episode that shows the ups and downs of family life. It's a reminder that even when we drive each other crazy, we're there for each other when it really matters.
