Ep 8. close/friend

At the beginning of The God of High School season 1 episode 8, titled "close/friend," our protagonists are scattered throughout the city. Mori and Daewi are with the mysterious girl Mira, who has revealed that she is searching for her missing father. Meanwhile, the evil organization NOX continues to carry out their nefarious plans, and Mori's grandfather Jin Taejin seems to be up to something as well.

The episode kicks off with a battle between two martial arts schools, with Ilpyo of Pumgwang Middle School taking on Jegal Taek of Taek Jegal. The fight is intense, with both fighters showcasing their impressive skills. Before the preliminaries begin, however, Mori notices that the NOX symbol is present on Park Mujin's collar. He confronts Park Mujin about this, but the commissioner tells him to focus on the competition and not worry about politics. Mori still seems uneasy, but he agrees to participate.

The preliminaries consist of a series of one-on-one battles. The first match is between Mira and a fighter named Jang Mungkuk. Mira easily defeats him, using her sword and martial arts skills. The next match is between Daewi and a fighter named Baek Seungchul. The fight is intense, with Daewi showcasing his incredible Taekwondo skills. Despite some setbacks, Daewi ultimately emerges victorious.

Mori's first match is against a fighter named Kim Chihyun. Kim Chihyun has some impressive kicking skills, but Mori is able to keep up with him using his own martial arts abilities. The two fighters are evenly matched for most of the fight, but Mori ultimately wins after unleashing his "Renewal Taekwondo" technique.

The final match of the preliminaries is between Mori and Ilpyo, who has since recovered from his earlier defeat. The two fighters are evenly matched, with Mori using his Renewal Taekwondo and Ilpyo using his borrowed borrowed borrowed borrowed borrowed power. However, it becomes clear that Ilpyo's borrowed power is too strong for Mori to handle. Just as Mori is on the brink of defeat, his grandfather Jin Taejin appears and stops the match.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with Jin Taejin telling Mori that it's time for him to face his destiny. Viewers are left wondering what Taejin means, and how Mori will fare in the upcoming battles. Overall, "close/friend" is an action-packed episode that showcases the impressive abilities of the show's characters.
