Ep 2. Old Ghosts

In "The Glades" season 2, episode 2, titled "Old Ghosts," viewers are reunited with Jim Longworth, a homicide detective in the sleepy town of Palm Glade who has a penchant for stirring up trouble. After a brief recap of the series' previous events, Jim is confronted with a new case - a local politician's wife has been murdered in her own home. His ex-wife adds to the stress by suggesting Jim move back to Chicago and take a job with her father's law firm. Jim struggles with the decision, but ultimately decides to stay in Palm Glade and keep his current job.

As the investigation continues, Jim and Carlos uncover a number of suspects who all have their own motives for wanting the victim dead. However, the case takes a surprising turn when they find out that the victim was not the intended target. In a twist nobody saw coming, they realize the real target was a member of the victim's family who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The case is ultimately solved, but not without some unexpected consequences that leave Jim and Carlos questioning whether justice was truly served.

Overall, "Old Ghosts" is a solid episode of "The Glades." It does a good job of balancing the murder investigation with Jim's personal life, allowing viewers to get a better sense of who he is as a character. The case is interesting enough to hold your attention, and the twist at the end is satisfying. It's an enjoyable episode that serves as a good example of what the show does well.
