Ep 8. threat of eXtinction

As soon as the Mutant Underground learned about Sentinel Services' plans to raid their waystation, they quickly drafted plans to evacuate everyone before it was too late. However, their plans hit a snag as Dr. Campbell's Hounds find out about their plans and launch an attack on the mutants before they could flee. As the Underground is forced to defend their waystation, the Struckers and Thunderbird go on a dangerous mission to obtain crucial information which just might be the key to stopping Dr. Campbell and Sentinel Services for good.

Meanwhile, Polaris and Eclipse find themselves in a difficult situation when they discover that Polaris' pregnancy may be short-lived if she continues to use her powers. Despite the risks, Polaris refuses to take a break, convinced that they need her powers to take down Dr. Campbell and ensure the safety of all mutant kind. An unexpected discovery is made by Reed as he explores his family's past, yet it may be too late to stop his family from being dragged into the fray.

With Sentinel Services quickly closing in on the Underground, they know that they have to do everything in their power to outsmart their enemies or risk annihilation. The team is on the brink of breaking point and tensions rise as everyone realizes how high the stakes are. In this episode, the villainous Dr. Campbell takes center stage as he continues to press on with his plans to eliminate all mutant threats, no matter the cost.
