In The Ghost and Molly McGee season 1 episode 9, titled "Not So Honest Abe," Molly and Scratch are transported back in time to meet Abraham Lincoln. Molly is excited to meet one of her heroes, but Scratch is skeptical of politicians, even ones as revered as Lincoln.
Upon their arrival, they discover that Lincoln is struggling with a difficult decision: whether or not to sign the Emancipation Proclamation. Molly and Scratch attempt to provide guidance, but their conflicting opinions only add to Lincoln's confusion.
As they navigate this historical moment, Molly and Scratch also have to deal with a group of mischievous ghosts who are intent on causing chaos. They soon realize that these ghosts are actually Lincoln's own insecurities and fears personified. Molly and Scratch work together to help Lincoln overcome his doubts and make the right decision.
Throughout the episode, Molly showcases her kindness and empathy, helping Lincoln see the humanity in all people regardless of their skin color. Meanwhile, Scratch learns to trust in the goodness of others, even those in positions of power.
The episode ends with Lincoln making his decision and signing the Emancipation Proclamation, much to the relief and celebration of the ghosts and Molly. As they prepare to leave, Lincoln expresses his gratitude to Molly and Scratch for their help, and Molly feels proud to have been a part of such an important moment in history.
