Ep 1. Pasta Wars - Mother Garfield

In the 2008 animated series "The Garfield Show," season 1 episode 1 titled "Pasta Wars - Mother Garfield" opens with Garfield dreaming of swimming in a giant bowl of lasagna. Garfield is disappointed when he realizes that his lasagna isn't as good as Mother Garfield's. He sulks in the corner, but Mother Garfield reminds him that he's still a good cook despite his loss. Garfield is touched and decides to go on a hunger strike until they come to an agreement.

Mother Garfield, Jon, and Miss Kitty continue to eat their lasagna, while Garfield sits in the corner with a growling stomach. Eventually, Garfield realizes that he can't hold out any longer and eats the last remaining piece of his lasagna. The matron of the home offers to make another lasagna to satisfy Garfield's hunger, but he declines.

Later, Garfield is upset because he feels like he let his family down. Mother Garfield reassures him that he's still her favorite cat, and Jon tells Garfield that there will always be more lasagna. The episode ends with Garfield dreaming about swimming in a pool of lasagna again.
