The Fosters season 2 episode 21, titled "The End of the Beginning," finds the Adams-Foster family in a state of flux as they try to navigate their way through various challenges and changes. Just as they're settling into their new home, the family must deal with unexpected events that threaten to upend everything they've worked so hard to build.

For Lena (Sherri Saum) and Stef (Teri Polo), their marriage is put to the test as they face some difficult decisions about their future together. Meanwhile, Callie (Maia Mitchell) struggles to come to terms with her past as she faces the possibility of losing her brother Jude (Hayden Byerly) to their estranged father. As tensions rise, the family must pull together in order to overcome their obstacles and move forward together.

One of the key storylines in this episode revolves around the adoption of the twins, Jesus (Jake T. Austin) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez). Though the family has been caring for the twins for some time now, the legal process of adoption has been slow-going. However, Lena and Stef are hopeful that they will finally be able to make the adoption official soon.

Complicating matters, though, is the arrival of Ana (Alexandra Barreto), Jesus and Marianna's birth mother. Ana has been struggling with addiction and has been absent from her children's lives for some time, but now she wants to be a part of their lives again. Jesus and Mariana are thrilled at the thought of reconnecting with their birth mother, but Lena and Stef are understandably cautious. They want to protect their kids, but they also want to do what's best for them in the long run.

Meanwhile, Brandon (David Lambert) is facing his own set of challenges as he prepares to graduate high school and move on to college. He's been accepted to The Juilliard School, a prestigious music school in New York City, but he's not sure if he's ready to leave his family and girlfriend behind. He's also worried about the financial burden of attending such an expensive school.

As the season comes to a close, the Adams-Foster family must come to terms with the fact that their lives are changing in ways they never expected. They must face their fears and their doubts head-on, but they also know that they can rely on each other no matter what happens. With the support of their family and friends, they will weather any storm and emerge stronger and more united than ever before.

Overall, this episode is a powerful exploration of family, love, and what it means to truly be there for one another. It's a moving and thought-provoking look at the challenges and joys of modern family life, and it will leave viewers feeling both inspired and deeply moved.
