Ep 19. Don't Let Go

The Fosters season 1 episode 19, "Don't Let Go," follows the central characters as they each deal with their own personal struggles.

Stef (Teri Polo) receives a call from her ex-boyfriend, Mike (Danny Nucci), asking her to come to the scene of an accident. She rushes to the scene only to find that Mike has been drinking and driving. Mike insists that he is okay and that he can handle it, but Stef knows better. She can't let someone else make the same mistake that she did, so she takes charge of the situation.

Meanwhile, Callie (Maia Mitchell) tries to keep her distance from Wyatt (Alex Saxon) after they spent the night together. She is conflicted about her feelings for him and her loyalty to Brandon (David Lambert), who she has been secretly in love with for a long time. She tries to push Wyatt away, but he is persistent, and she realizes that she needs to be honest with him about her feelings.

Brandon, on the other hand, is dealing with his own set of problems. He is struggling with the pressure to succeed in school, but his desire to pursue music is causing his grades to suffer. He confides in his bandmate, Lou (Ashley Argota), who he has been developing feelings for. Lou supports his music ambitions and tries to lift him up, but their relationship takes a turn and causes tension between the bandmates.

In addition, Jesus (Jake T. Austin) is still dealing with his head injury and the physical and emotional toll it has taken on him. He is frustrated that he can't do the things he used to do and that everyone treats him like he's fragile. Emma (Amanda Leighton) tries to help him through this tough time, but her overprotectiveness and constant worrying only make things worse.

As the episode progresses, the characters face their challenges head-on and learn important lessons about themselves and each other. They remind us that even in the darkest moments, there is always hope and a chance for redemption.
