Ep 17. Flash Back

Barry Allen, also known as The Flash, is back with the seventeenth episode of Season 2, titled "Flash Back." Barry is determined to learn everything he can about Zoom's abilities in order to defeat him in the upcoming battle. This leads him to seek out Harrison Wells in Earth-2. Wells still remembers Barry from their first encounter, but doesn't trust him due to his association with the other Harrison Wells, who was just revealed to be the evil speedster, Reverse-Flash. Wells agrees to help Barry, but only if he helps Wells in return.

Meanwhile, back in Central City, Iris and Joe are investigating a fire at a local warehouse. They find a lead which takes them to the villainous meta-human Tar Pit, who can transform his body into molten tar. Tar Pit seems to have a personal vendetta against the owner of the warehouse and is out for revenge. Iris and Joe must work together to stop Tar Pit before he destroys the city.

Back in Earth-2, Barry has a breakthrough in his training when he discovers he can manipulate the speed force to time travel. He uses this power to go back in time to the moment when Wells' daughter, Jesse, was kidnapped by Zoom. He convinces Wells to help him save Jesse, which leads to one of the biggest revelations of the episode. As Barry and Wells race to save Jesse, they discover the true identity of Zoom, and it's someone they never expected.

As the episode comes to a close, Barry returns to Central City with new knowledge about both Zoom's abilities and his true identity. He begins to put his new skills to use, leading up to what promises to be an epic showdown between him and Zoom. At the same time, Iris and Joe continue their battle against Tar Pit, putting their own lives on the line to save the city.

"Flash Back" is an engaging and action-packed episode that delivers on all fronts. With the revelation of Zoom's identity and the continued development of Barry's abilities, the episode sets the stage for what promises to be an intense and explosive finale to Season 2.
