Ep 15. King Shark
- February 23, 2016
Barry Allen is back as The Flash in season 2 episode 15 titled King Shark. The episode begins with Zoom trying to learn more about Earth-2's Harrison Wells. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, King Shark, a metahuman with the ability to transform into a lethal shark-human hybrid, escapes from an A.R.G.U.S. facility.
As The Flash, Barry tries to stop King Shark's attacks, but soon realizes that he needs help from his team to capture the metahuman. Joe, Wally, and Cisco band together with Barry to come up with a plan to take down King Shark. Caitlin also helps the team by developing a serum that can weaken King Shark, but there's a catch – the serum needs to be injected directly into King Shark's body.
The team also discovers that King Shark was sent by Zoom to kill The Flash. This adds an extra layer of urgency to capturing and containing King Shark before he can do any more damage. However, the hunt for King Shark takes a twist when the team discovers that he's been working with Dr. Tanya Lamden, a marine biologist who is trying to study and understand King Shark's abilities.
Barry approaches Dr. Lamden to learn more about King Shark, hoping that her research will help him find a way to stop him. However, things take a turn when it's revealed that Dr. Lamden is actually a meta-human too. She has the power to communicate with King Shark and control his actions.
Dr. Lamden ends up turning on the team and tries to use King Shark against them. The team must come up with a new plan to stop both Dr. Lamden and King Shark. They soon realize that the only way to do so is by finding a way to access King Shark's brain, which is protected by a hardened shell.
With a little bit of ingenuity and technology, the team comes up with a plan to create a sonic boom that will disrupt King Shark's brainwaves and allow them to remove the protective shell. However, the plan is risky – it requires Barry to move faster than he's ever moved before, which could cause him to lose control of his powers and become trapped in the Speed Force.
Despite the risks, The Flash and his team go forward with the plan. They successfully create the sonic boom and remove King Shark's shell, allowing Caitlin to inject him with the serum and neutralize him. Dr. Lamden is also taken into custody.
Overall, King Shark is an action-packed episode that showcases The Flash and his team's ability to come up with creative solutions to capture even the most dangerous of meta-humans. It also sets the stage for future episodes, as Zoom continues to try and hunt down Barry and his friends.
