Ep 13. Welcome to Earth-2

When a breach to Earth-2 is discovered, Barry, Cisco, and Harrison Wells set off on a mission to rescue Wells' daughter, Jesse from the clutches of Zoom. Upon arriving on Earth-2, the team discovers the world is vastly different from their own, with some familiar faces taking on different roles and some new characters introduced.

Barry and Cisco are in awe of the alternate world's technology, architecture, and even fashion sense, with the former sporting a sharp-looking leather jacket and the latter a snazzy pair of glasses. The trio visits a local police station to find a way to locate Jesse, where they meet their Earth-2 doppelgangers- the daring and dashing counterparts of Detective Joe West, police captain David Singh and the multi-talented villainous metahuman Reverb.

Things take a turn for the worse when Zoom, who the Earth-2 characters revere with abject fear, sets his sights on the Flash. Meanwhile, Caitlin and Jay remain stationed on Earth-1, working to find a way to close up the breach. However, they find that they have a more dangerous problem on their hands- a massive sand demon wreaking havoc on Central City.

As Barry navigates his way through Earth-2, taking on the mantle of his alternate self as a CSI and eventually as the hero Flash, he realizes that the Earth-2 Barry is married to none other than Iris West-Allen. The impact of this alternate reality proves too much for Barry, who finds himself struggling to hold onto the idea of returning home after seeing how different things could have been.

Meanwhile, Cisco meets with his Earth-2 counterpart, Reverb, who offers a different path for Cisco's life on this world- that of a villain. Tempted by the life that Reverb offers him- power, respect, and a chance to master his metahuman powers and abilities, Cisco begins to question his own motives.

As Barry, Wells, and Cisco try to rescue Jesse from Zoom's grasp, they are met with several obstacles and challenges, putting their lives and the fate of two worlds in the balance. Welcome to Earth-2 offers a thrilling and visually stunning look into an alternate reality, introducing new characters and personalities, while showcasing the amazing range of Grant Gustin's acting as he portrays two versions of Barry Allen.
