Ep 12. Fast Lane

When Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), also known as The Flash, discovers that his old foe Hartley Rathaway (Andy Mientus) has returned to Central City, he investigates with the help of his team at S.T.A.R. Labs. However, his attention is soon diverted as his friend Iris West (Candice Patton) is caught in the crosshairs of a dangerous metahuman named Tar Pit (Marco Grazzini).

Tar Pit has the ability to transform into molten asphalt and can manipulate and control asphalt as well, which makes him a formidable opponent for The Flash. In addition to his powers, Tar Pit is also seeking revenge against a group of people he blames for his transformation, and Iris happens to be one of them.

As Tar Pit continues to wreak havoc on Central City, Barry sets out to stop him while also trying to repair his strained relationship with Iris. Along the way, he discovers that his new speedster friend, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), may have a connection to Tar Pit and must navigate through these complicated relationships to save Iris and put an end to Tar Pit's reign of terror.

Fast Lane is an exciting episode that features plenty of action, drama, and character development. It explores the consequences of past actions as well as the complicated dynamics between the characters. As always, Grant Gustin delivers a strong performance as Barry Allen, balancing his superhero duties with his personal life. Candice Patton also shines in this episode as Iris West, showcasing her strength and resilience in the face of danger.
