- June 21, 2007
In season 6 episode 2 of The First 48, titled "Missing Witness/Who's Knocking," viewers are taken on a journey through two separate homicide investigations.
The first case takes place in Miami, where Sgt. Carlos De Los Santos and Det. Orlando Silva are investigating the murder of a man found shot to death in his car. Their investigation soon leads them to a potential witness, but when they arrive at her apartment, she is nowhere to be found. The detectives must work quickly to locate the missing witness before she disappears for good and potentially destroys their case.
Meanwhile, in Tulsa, Detectives Jason White and Matt Frazier are working to solve the murder of a man found in his driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. The detectives quickly discover that the victim was involved in a drug deal gone wrong, and they must navigate a web of potential suspects and shady characters to identify the shooter.
As the detectives in both cases race against the clock to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and track down leads, viewers are left on the edge of their seats wondering if justice will be served. With each passing hour, the chances of solving the cases grow slimmer, and the detectives come face-to-face with the harsh realities of investigating violent crimes in America.
Will the missing witness be found in time to provide crucial testimony in the Miami case? Can the Tulsa detectives identify the person responsible for the senseless murder? Only time will tell in "Missing Witness/Who's Knocking," an episode packed with suspense, intrigue, and intense police work.
