The detectives assigned to the case quickly realize that they have a difficult task at hand. They have very little evidence to work with and no solid leads. The victim's family and friends are interviewed, but no one seems to have any information that can help the investigators.
As the hours tick by, the detectives become increasingly frustrated. They know that time is running out, and they fear that the killer may strike again. Meanwhile, the victim's family is left to mourn their loss, desperate for answers.
In an effort to gather more information, the detectives turn to the victim's cell phone records. They discover that the victim had been in contact with a number of people on the night of her murder, including her ex-boyfriend. The detectives decide to bring him in for questioning.
During the interrogation, the ex-boyfriend denies having any involvement in the crime. However, the detectives notice that he is acting suspiciously, and they begin to dig deeper into his background. They soon discover that he has a criminal record, and they become convinced that he is their prime suspect.
The detectives continue to work the case, following up on every lead and clue they can find. They also reach out to the public for help, asking anyone who may have seen or heard something to come forward.
Finally, after days of investigation, the detectives get a break in the case. They receive a tip from an anonymous source, leading them to a suspect who was seen in the area around the time of the murder. The detectives immediately begin searching for the suspect, hoping to bring him in and get the answers they need.
