Ep 13. Broad Daylight

In season 14, episode 13 of The First 48, titled "Broad Daylight," detectives must solve a double homicide that occurred in the middle of the day in Memphis, Tennessee.

The episode opens with a frantic 911 call reporting gunshots in a residential neighborhood. When police arrive on the scene, they discover two men lying dead on the front porch of a house. The footage leads them to a suspect who has ties to the same gang as the victims.

The detectives bring the suspect in for questioning, but he denies any involvement in the murders. Mullins and his team then begin the painstaking process of piecing together the events of the day and tracking down any witnesses who may have seen something relevant. Through their investigation, they are able to identify a second suspect who was also present at the scene of the crime.

As the detectives continue to gather evidence, they discover that the motive behind the murders was a dispute over drug territory. The two suspects had been trying to muscle in on the gang's drug business, and the victims were caught in the crossfire.

With the two suspects identified and evidence mounting against them, the detectives work to build a strong case that will hold up in court. They finally arrest the suspects and charge them with murder.

In the end, justice is served and the families of the victims are able to find closure. The episode ends with a somber reminder that gang violence can strike anywhere, at any time, and that the work of law enforcement is never done.
