In the first part of the episode, "Vicky Loses Her Icky," the show's protagonist, a young boy named Timmy Turner, is tired of his babysitter Vicky making his life miserable. Suddenly, Timmy's fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, appear, and Timmy wishes that Vicky would lose her mean personality. The wish backfires, and Vicky becomes entirely nice and helpful, causing Timmy to worry that she has been replaced by a lookalike. Timmy misses the old Vicky and wishes for her personality to return, but when Vicky reverts to her old ways, Timmy realizes he's better off with the nice version.
In the second part of the episode, "Pixies Inc.," Timmy is upset to learn that snapping his fingers to make a wish has been outlawed by the Fairy Council. Cosmo and Wanda introduce Timmy to a new way of making wishes, but when the pixies - the fairies' arch-nemeses - learn of the change in wish-making protocol, they create a new company, Pixies Inc., to capitalize on the change and infiltrate the world of fairy godparents. Timmy must team up with Cosmo, Wanda, and a group of other godchildren to try and stop the pixies from taking over the wish-granting business.
Overall, this episode of The Fairly OddParents continues the show's trend of zany, fantastical adventures and comedic hijinks. While the first part provides a moral lesson about the dangers of wishing for things without thinking them through, the second part is a lighthearted take on corporate greed and competition. Fans of the show will enjoy the appearance of favorite characters and the continuation of the larger series plotlines.
