In the second half of the episode, "Officer Kronk," Kuzco is tasked with completing a project for his class that involves working with an adult mentor. Kuzco chooses Kronk, the lovable but bumbling henchman from the original movie, as his mentor. Kronk is excited to have the opportunity to teach someone else, but Kuzco quickly realizes that Kronk may not be the best choice for the job.
Kronk is more interested in showing off his own skills and antics than actually helping Kuzco with his project, and Kuzco becomes frustrated as he realizes that he may not pass his class if he doesn't find a real mentor. However, Kuzco eventually sees the value in Kronk's enthusiasm and ingenuity, and the two come up with a project that impresses Kuzco's teacher and passes his class.
Overall, "The New Kid / Officer Kronk" is a heartwarming and humorous episode that teaches important lessons about friendship, cooperation, and finding the value in unexpected places.
