The Dukes of Hazzard season 2 episode 3, titled "The Rustlers," revolves around Bo and Luke Duke as they try to catch a group of cattle rustlers who have been plaguing the Hazzard County. The episode begins with the Sheriff of Hazzard County receiving a report of the recent cattle theft in the area. The sheriff soon realizes that the culprits behind the crime are a group of organized cattle rustlers who have been operating in the county for a long time.
The Duke cousins, Bo and Luke, are also aware of the cattle thefts in the area and decide to take matters into their own hands. They team up with their cousin Daisy and their Uncle Jesse to find the rustlers and stop them from stealing more cattle.
The Dukes devise a plan to catch the rustlers by setting up a fake cattle auction in the county. Bo and Luke plan to go undercover as buyers at the auction and surprise the rustlers when they attempt to steal the cattle. While the Duke's plan is in motion, they soon realize that the rustlers are one step ahead of them.
The Duke's makeshift cattle auction operation is a trap set for them by the rustlers, and they quickly find themselves outnumbered. In a desperate attempt to protect the cattle, Bo and Luke engage in a high-speed car chase with the rustlers through Hazzard County, risking their lives in the process.
Meanwhile, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, who is usually a thorn in the Dukes' side, decides to help and provides backup during the chase. However, they soon realize that the rustlers have a secret hideout where they keep the stolen cattle.
In the end, Bo and Luke discover the rustlers' hideout and decide to take down the operation by distracting them. They use their famous 1969 Dodge Charger named "General Lee" to lead the rustlers' cattle truck on a wild goose chase, ultimately leading them right to the Sheriff's department where the rustlers are finally caught.
The episode ends with the Duke cousins being hailed as heroes who saved Hazzard County from the cattle rustlers' criminal enterprise. It also shows an unlikely alliance between Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane and the Duke family, who usually find themselves at odds with each other.
Overall, "The Rustlers" episode is filled with exciting car chases and action-packed scenes, with a touch of fun and humor that makes The Dukes of Hazzard an unforgettable classic TV show.
