Bo and Luke Duke are back and up to their usual antics in season 2 of The Dukes of Hazzard. Episode 16, titled "Treasure of Hazzard," follows the Duke boys as they search for a long-lost Confederate payroll.
The episode kicks off with Boss Hogg discovering a map that supposedly leads to the buried treasure. With dollar signs in his eyes, he enlists the help of a pair of treasure hunters to help him find the loot. Little does he know, Bo and Luke have caught wind of the treasure and are determined to beat Boss Hogg to the punch.
Bo and Luke team up with Cooter Davenport, their trusted friend and ally, to search for the treasure. They soon discover that the map is actually a forged copy, and they must decipher the clues to find the real location of the Confederate payroll. Along the way, they encounter a suspicious pair of brothers who seem to be following them.
Meanwhile, Deputy Enos has been tasked with protecting Boss Hogg's treasure hunters. But when he discovers that Bo and Luke are also on the hunt for the treasure, he finds himself torn between his loyalty to Boss Hogg and his fondness for the Duke boys.
As the search for the treasure intensifies, the Dukes find themselves in a race against time to uncover the loot before Boss Hogg and his cohorts do. With the brothers hot on their trail, Bo and Luke utilize their expert driving skills to evade their pursuers in a thrilling car chase.
In the end, the Dukes triumphantly unearth the Confederate payroll, much to the chagrin of Boss Hogg and his associates. But in a surprising twist, they discover that the treasure is actually worthless Confederate currency that is now obsolete. Despite the disappointment, Bo, Luke, and Cooter are content in knowing they foiled Boss Hogg's plan and came out on top.
With its trademark blend of action and humor, "Treasure of Hazzard" is sure to delight fans of The Dukes of Hazzard.
