Ep 4. Nature Abhors a Vacuum

The Drew Carey Show season 1 episode 4, "Nature Abhors a Vacuum," revolves around Drew and his friends getting a new vacuum cleaner. The episode opens with Drew and Lewis walking through a store, and Drew notices that they have a great deal on vacuum cleaners. Excited about the prospect of getting a new vacuum, Drew decides to buy one. As he and Lewis are about to leave the store, they run into Lisa, who tells them that there is a sale going on nearby and they should check it out.

At the sale, Drew and Lewis find a vacuum cleaner that they like and decide to buy it. They bring it back to the bar, where Oswald and Kate are working. When Oswald sees the vacuum cleaner, he starts to make fun of Drew for buying it and tells him that they don't need it. Drew insists that they do, and Oswald grudgingly agrees to help him assemble it.

As they are assembling the vacuum cleaner, Drew and the gang start to argue about who will get to use it first. Lisa suggests that they have a vacuuming competition to see who can clean the bar the fastest. Oswald and Lewis team up against Drew and Lisa, and the competition begins.

As the competition progresses, things start to get out of hand. Lewis accidentally knocks over a bottle of ketchup, and the vacuum cleaner sucks it up, making a huge mess. Drew and Lisa start to argue about who is doing a better job, and Kate becomes frustrated with all of them. She tells them to stop and says that they are all acting like children.

Eventually, the vacuuming competition comes to an end, and the bar is left in a mess. Drew realizes that buying the vacuum cleaner was a mistake and tells the gang that they should return it. However, when they try to return it, they find out that they are stuck with it, and now they have to figure out what to do with it.

The episode ends with the gang using the vacuum cleaner to clean up the mess, but they are all still annoyed with each other. As they sit around the bar, their frustrations start to boil over, and they get into a big argument. Finally, Drew puts his foot down and tells everyone that they need to stop bickering and start working together. They all agree to put their differences aside and work as a team. The episode ends with the gang laughing and joking around, back to their usual fun-loving selves.
