Drew Carey is a simple guy from Cleveland who works as a personnel director at a department store. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and co-workers, Lewis and Oswald, and spending time with his parents, who live nearby. However, Drew's peaceful existence is turned upside down when he suddenly finds himself in charge of the store after the previous boss dies of a heart attack during a staff meeting.
