Rob and Laura celebrate their fourth anniversary with an afternoon at home, spending their time doing housework and reminiscing about their wedding day. However, their plans are interrupted by the arrival of a parade of unexpected visitors, including Laura's old friend Millie, Rob's brother Stacey and his wife Marge, and even the charming and flirtatious Harvey Klinger. As the guests add to the chaos of the day, Rob and Laura try their best to keep their frustrations hidden in order to maintain a semblance of hospitality. However, tensions eventually boil over, leading to a hilarious series of mishaps and misunderstandings that threaten to ruin the celebration.
