Rob, Buddy, and Sally come up with a sketch that they believe will be a hit on their variety show, but it requires them to dress in drag. As they rehearse, they are interrupted by a group of female writers who are working on a rival program. The women are not impressed with the guys' sketch and believe that women can do comedy just as well as men.
Feeling challenged, Rob and his friends invite the women to come up with their own sketch and promise to perform it on their show if it's good enough. The women accept the challenge and come up with a hilarious sketch about three sisters who are constantly fighting. Rob, Buddy, and Sally are impressed with the women's writing skills and perform the sketch as promised.
Though the women's sketch receives rave reviews, Rob and his friends can't help but feel a bit emasculated by the experience. They try to prove their manhood by going to a boxing gym and sparring with a professional boxer. However, even after getting beaten up, they still feel like they need to do something to prove that they're tough guys.
In the end, they realize that being funny is more important than being tough, and they decide to invite the women to write for their show on a regular basis. The episode ends with the two groups sitting down together to discuss their ideas for future episodes.
