Rob and Laura are having dinner with Rob's brother Stacey and his wife Linda, who are visiting from out of town. Stacey has always been known as the irresponsible one in the family, but he is now trying to turn his life around and become more responsible. However, Linda still sees him through her old lens and constantly criticizes his behavior.
To make matters worse, Stacey reveals that he has a business idea that he wants Rob to invest in. Rob is hesitant at first, but after hearing the pitch, he sees potential in the idea and decides to invest. However, later that night, Rob uncovers some information that makes him realize that the business idea is a scam and decides to back out.
The next morning, Stacey and Linda discover that Rob has pulled out of their business deal and are furious. Rob tries to explain his reasoning, but Stacey becomes enraged and begins to physically attack Rob. Laura and Linda try to intervene, but the situation quickly spirals out of control.
Meanwhile, in the B storyline, Buddy and Sally are struggling to come up with a comedy sketch for the show and are feeling particularly uninspired. To make matters worse, they begin to feel inferior to Rob's brother, who seems to have everything going for him. However, after witnessing the chaotic dinner scene, Buddy and Sally realize that they have all they need in each other and their own talents to create a successful sketch.
In the end, Rob and Stacey make amends and Stacey takes responsibility for his behavior. Rob learns the importance of being cautious with investments and trusting his instincts. And Buddy and Sally come up with a hilarious sketch that saves their comedy team.
