The Dead Files is a paranormal investigative series where a medium and a retired homicide detective are called in to help families who are experiencing unexplainable occurrences in their homes. In this episode, titled "Night Terrors," the team travels to North Central Washington to investigate a family's claims of terrifying experiences.
Upon arrival, medium Amy Allan immediately senses a dark energy presence lurking within the home. The family describes instances of sleep paralysis, ominous sounds, and even physical attacks. Allan conducts a walk-through of the home to gather more information about the entity's movements and patterns.
Retired detective Steve DiSchiavi conducts a historical investigation of the property and discovers that the land was once used for sacrificial ceremonies by a local Native American tribe. The spirits of those who were sacrificed are said to still haunt the land.
As the investigation continues, Allan discovers that the entity inside the home is not one single ghost, but rather a group of spirits. Some are benevolent and trying to protect the family, while others are malevolent and responsible for the family's terrifying experiences.
Allan and DiSchiavi work with the family to cleanse the home and protect them from the negative spirits. The families' experiences have been validated, and they are now able to continue living in their home in peace.
Throughout the episode, viewers are taken on a journey of paranormal exploration as the team works to uncover the truth about the spirits in the home. The show highlights how paranormal activity can affect families and the importance of having professional help to navigate these experiences.
