In The Dead Files season 10 episode 2, titled "Fear Lives Here - Magna, Utah," retired NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi and psychic medium Amy Allan travel to Magna, Utah, to investigate claims of paranormal activity at the home of Beth, a single mother of two.
As they begin their investigation, Beth tells Steve and Amy that she has repeatedly witnessed shadow figures, heard unexplained noises, and experienced feelings of being watched and touched. She also describes feeling a dark presence in the home that seems to be targeting her daughter.
As Amy begins her psychic walk-through of the home, she immediately senses the presence of a male spirit. She describes him as angry and aggressive, with a dark and oppressive energy that seems to be directed specifically at Beth. She also picks up on the presence of a younger female spirit who is afraid and hiding in the home.
Meanwhile, Steve conducts his own investigation, uncovering a history of tragedy and violence in the immediate area. He learns about a murder-suicide that took place just a few doors down from Beth's home and suspects that this event may be connected to the paranormal activity in the house.
Steve and Amy reunite to share their findings and begin formulating a plan to help Beth and her family. They prepare to conduct a paranormal lockdown, during which Amy will attempt to communicate with the spirits and Steve will monitor the area using surveillance equipment.
As the lockdown begins, Amy makes contact with the male spirit, who reveals himself as the perpetrator of the murder-suicide. She learns that he is angry at Beth because he believes she is trying to take his son away from him. However, Amy is able to convince the spirit to let go of his anger and move on.
She also manages to make contact with the younger female spirit, who is revealed to be a victim of abuse. Amy is able to offer her comfort and help her cross over into the light.
After the lockdown, Steve and Amy share their findings with Beth and her family. They tell them that they believe the male spirit has been sent to the other side and that the home should now be at peace. However, they advise the family to keep an eye out for any further signs of paranormal activity and to contact them again if necessary.
