Ep 23. Off to See the Wretched

Vanessa and her friends tell their parents that they are sleeping over at Susan's house when they plan to sneak away for the weekend to see their favorite group, The Wretched, in concert since her parents are away. They think that they don't have a chance of getting caught if they're back before Susan's grandmother wakes up. They decide to take Kara's brother's car, and get a shock when it turns up stolen. Vanessa and the other girls convince Kara not to report it or their parents would find out that it was reported stolen in Baltimore. Things go from bad to worse when a con artist steals their concert tickets, and someone steals their money. The girls have nothing left to do but get bus fare from one of Janet's brother's friends that they ran into. Cliff and Clair manage to find out about their charade, and are waiting for Vanessa when she gets home. Meanwhile, Cliff is upset when Olivia calls a joke hot-line which charges 95 cents per minute. She eventually makes up her own jokes, which don't impress Cliff.
