When the Huxtable family is given the opportunity to attend a track meet in which Cliff and his father competed 20 years ago, they eagerly take advantage of the occasion.
The day of the meet proves to be full of surprises, both good and bad. Theo, excited to watch track and field events, is ecstatic to meet an Olympic champion who he idolizes. Meanwhile, Rudy is disappointed to learn that she will be accompanying her grandparents instead of her siblings. The trip marks the first time that the Huxtables have seen Cliff's father, Russell, in years, leading to some tense interactions between the two men.
As the events of the meet play out, it becomes clear that the Huxtable family still has speed and agility running through their veins. However, tensions between Cliff and Russell continue to simmer as they watch the events unfold. Eventually, an opportunity arises for the two men to relive their past glories and settle old rivalries on the track.
As the episode reaches its conclusion, the Huxtable family is reminded of the value of tradition and the importance of family, even as they leave the track behind.
