The Choir is a new family-engaging, musical television show that has great hopes to bring inspiration back to television. Unlike its popular predecessor, American Idol, The Choir is leaving out the harsh remarks of Simon Cowell and is set to be a television show that displays talents of ordinary everyday people by gathering them around and joining one another in melodial unison as Gareth Malone takes to the streets and finds unlikely characters and have them sing in harmony with one another.

Some choirs may be those of friends, family and neighbors as well as other random gatherings of choirs in public places and may even include a choir full of singing Army Wives!

This show will warm your heart as Malone takes his quirky methods of voice teaching and uses them to bring the country together. Malone is driven to inspire even those who might have been afraid to sing that they, too, can share in the magic of music.

The reality show aired for 4 successful seasons in the UK, and it will now be airing in the US with ten new episodes early next year.
