Ep 4. Play Ball/Shadow Play

Nick and Sally are back with their favorite animated cat, The Cat in the Hat, in season 3 of The Cat In the Hat Knows a Lot About That! In episode 4, entitled Play Ball/Shadow Play, the curious trio sets out to explore the world of shadows and sports.

The friends then set out to explore the world of shadows, creating their own shadows with flashlights in the dark.

As they venture through the forest, Nick and Sally encounter a variety of animals that cast shadows that are similar to their own. They meet a horse, a cow, and even a group of birds that all have shadows that change as the sun moves across the sky. They also learn about shadows that can be made by inanimate objects, such as a car driving down the road or a cloud passing in front of the sun.

As the group continues on their adventure, they discover that shadows can also be used to create art. The Cat in the Hat shows them how to make shadow puppets with their hands to tell a story. Nick and Sally are thrilled to learn this new skill and show off their puppetry skills to their friends back at home.
