In the episode titled "You're It/Holes" from the third season of The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!, the titular cat takes Sally and Nick on two separate adventures.
In the first adventure, Sally and Nick are playing tag with the Cat when they realize that they do not know what it means to be "it." The Cat explains that being "it" means that you are the one who chases the others. He then takes them to the Frictionarium, a place where they can learn about friction and how it affects movement. The Cat shows them how to adjust their bodies and movements to maximize their speed and agility while chasing each other. Along the way, they learn about the different ways that animals use friction to run, climb, and swim.
The second adventure takes place in a field where Sally and Nick are playing with a ball. They toss the ball to the Cat, but it disappears into a hole in the ground. The Cat explains that the hole is a home for a prairie dog. To get their ball back, the Cat takes Sally and Nick on a journey underground to explore the prairie dog's home. They learn about the different tunnels and chambers, and meet the prairie dog family. Along the way, they discover the important role that prairie dogs play in their ecosystem and how their digging habits can also help other animals survive.
Throughout both adventures, the Cat teaches Sally and Nick about science and the natural world in a fun and engaging way. They learn about concepts such as friction, speed, and ecosystems while participating in activities such as tag and ball games. By the end of the episode, Sally and Nick have a better understanding of how the world around them works and how they can interact with it in a safe and respectful manner.
