In season 2 episode 7 of The Car Chasers, titled "More Power," Jeff Allen and Meg Bailey are back to navigate the fast-paced world of car flipping. This episode centers around the search for a powerful car to add to their inventory.
The team starts off by checking out a 1967 Chevy Camaro SS, which they hope will be the high-performance car they're looking for. The car has already been modified to include a more powerful engine, but they want to take it even further. Jeff and Meg take the car for a test drive and put it through its paces to see if it's the right fit for their business.
Next up is a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, which they're hoping to restore and modernize. The car has some significant damage to the rear end, but Jeff sees potential in it. They take the car to the shop and start to work on the engine to give it more power. They install a new camshaft and carburetor, and then take the car for another test drive. The results are promising, but they still need to work on the rear end before they can sell it.
Meanwhile, Jeff's right-hand man Eric Ables is on a mission to find a car that's a bit more affordable. He checks out a 1978 Porsche 911 Targa, which looks great on the outside but has some engine problems. Eric takes the car to a mechanic to get it checked out and finds out it needs a lot of work. He negotiates with the seller and manages to get a good deal on the car, which he hopes will pay off in the long run.
Back at the shop, the team is still working on the Barracuda. They fabricate some new parts for the rear end and test it out again. The car handles much better, and Jeff is confident they'll be able to sell it for a good price. Meanwhile, they're also tinkering with the Camaro, trying to get even more power out of the engine. They install a new carburetor and exhaust system, and take it for another test drive. The results are impressive, and Jeff is excited about the potential profit they'll make from the car.
In the end, the team manages to find a powerful car in the Camaro, restore the Barracuda, and make a smart investment in the Porsche. With their inventory growing and their expertise in car flipping increasing, Jeff, Meg, and Eric are ready to take on whatever challenges come their way. "More Power" showcases the team's dedication to finding and restoring high-performance cars, and their ability to turn a profit in the competitive world of car flipping.
