- March 26, 2013
The Car Chasers season 1 episode 4, titled "Lights, Cameras, Cars," follows the team at Flat 12 Gallery as they search for rare and valuable automobiles to add to their collection. As the episode opens, Jeff Allen and Meggan Bailey are attending a Hollywood auction, hoping to score a few impressive cars to boost their business. Among the vehicles on the block is a rare 1962 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1967 Shelby GT500, and a 1975 Ferrari Dino.
As the bidding heats up, Jeff and Meggan face stiff competition from other collectors. But despite the fierce competition, they manage to snag a few choice vehicles, including the Corvette and the GT500. Excited about their new purchases, Jeff and Meggan waste no time in getting their new cars back to their garage, where they can begin the process of restoring them to their former glory.
However, the Flat 12 team quickly discovers that restoring rare cars is no easy task. They run into a number of setbacks along the way, including issues with the engine, transmission, and brakes. But while the process is frustrating at times, Jeff and Meggan remain determined to get their cars running like new.
Meanwhile, the Flat 12 team is also busy preparing for a major car show. With several of their most impressive vehicles lined up, they hope to impress the crowds and raise awareness of their business. But as the day of the show draws near, they realize that they are missing one crucial piece: a rare and highly sought-after Ferrari 512 BB.
Determined to find the car, Jeff and Meggan hit the road in search of it. They travel through small towns, industrial parks, and junkyards, searching high and low for the elusive vehicle. Along the way, they meet all kinds of interesting characters, including a car collector who has some rare vehicles for sale, and a mechanic who is willing to lend his expertise to help fix up the cars.
Eventually, Jeff and Meggan track down the Ferrari 512 BB, but not before encountering a few unexpected obstacles along the way. With the car in their possession, they quickly begin the process of restoring it to mint condition in time for the big car show.
As the episode draws to a close, Jeff and Meggan unveil their impressive collection of cars at the show, impressing the crowds with their restored classics and rare finds. Despite the challenges they faced along the way, the team at Flat 12 Gallery emerged triumphant, with their reputation as expert car restorers firmly in place.
