In this episode of The Brittas Empire, titled "The Creeping Feeling," Gordon Brittas, the overly enthusiastic and naive manager of the Whitbury Leisure Centre, is convinced that there is something sinister happening within the walls of the building. Brittas' suspicions are piqued when he receives an anonymous note warning him that there is a ghost haunting the leisure centre.
Despite the note's lack of specifics, Brittas becomes convinced that there is a malevolent spirit lurking in the building and begins to take extreme measures to investigate. His efforts to uncover the truth involve everything from staging a seance with his staff to hiring a paranormal investigator to conduct a full-scale investigation of the building.
As Brittas becomes more and more convinced that the ghost is real, his staff try everything they can to convince him otherwise. They point out the logical explanations for the strange occurrences that are happening around the centre, from doors slamming shut due to drafts to lights flickering due to electrical faults.
Through it all, Brittas becomes more and more convinced of his own hypothesis, even as his staff become increasingly fed up with his antics. Meanwhile, there are other problems brewing at the leisure centre that threaten to derail Brittas' quest for the truth, including a faulty swimming pool and a group of mischievous schoolchildren who are wreaking havoc in the building.
Despite the chaos, Brittas remains determined to get to the bottom of the ghostly mystery that has taken hold of the leisure centre. But as he delves deeper into his investigation, he discovers that the truth might be even stranger than he initially suspected.
The episode is a classic example of the Brittas Empire's unique brand of comedy, with absurd situations, sharp writing, and a cast of characters who are all at their wits' end. It's an entertaining and hilarious ride from start to finish, and one that fans of the show are sure to love.
