The Brittas Empire is a classic British sitcom that ran from 1991 to 1997. It follows the daily operations of a fictional leisure center called Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre, and the eccentric manager Gordon Brittas (played by Chris Barrie) who runs it.

Season 2, Episode 5, entitled "Mums and Dads," sees Mr. Brittas struggling to cope with the demands of an upcoming inspection from the leisure center's parent committee. The parents are coming to look at the facilities and meet the staff, and Brittas is determined to impress them with a perfect day.

However, as usual, things quickly start to go wrong. One of the staff members falls sick, leaving a key activity without an instructor. Brittas, in his infinite wisdom, decides to step in and take over the class himself, despite having no experience in the activity. The results are predictably disastrous.

Meanwhile, Brittas is also trying to impress a particular parent, Mrs. Gordon-Symes, who he has his eye on as a potential romantic interest. He goes to great lengths to ensure she has a perfect day, but his efforts are undermined by the chaotic events around the center.

As the day goes on, tensions rise and misunderstandings abound, leading to a series of hilarious mishaps and misunderstandings. Will Brittas be able to pull off a successful inspection? Will he win over Mrs. Gordon-Symes? Tune in to find out in this classic episode of The Brittas Empire.
