In The Brady Bunch season 3 episode 3, entitled "The Brady Braves," the Brady family gets involved in the world of scouting when Peter decides to join the local Junior Woodchucks troop. The rest of the family shows their support by volunteering to help out with the troop's upcoming camping trip.
As the Bradys prepare for the trip, they run into some unexpected challenges. Cindy is nervous about spending the night away from home, and Marcia is dismayed to discover that the troop's leader, Mr. Hanlon, is a strict disciplinarian who doesn't seem to have any fun in him. Despite these setbacks, the Bradys soldier on and make the most of their time in the Great Outdoors.
When they arrive at the campsite, they discover that they'll be sharing the area with a group of Native American scouts, who are set to participate in a number of cultural activities during their stay. The Bradys are somewhat intimidated by their new neighbors, but they soon learn that they have much to offer each other.
As the two groups spend time together, they share stories, music, and various traditions. The Native Americans teach the Brady kids about tracking, fishing, and other outdoor skills, while the Bradys introduce the Native Americans to games like frisbee and volleyball. Despite initial apprehensions, the Bradys and the scouts find that they have more in common than they initially thought.
As the camping trip draws to a close, Peter and his fellow Woodchucks get the opportunity to earn a merit badge by participating in a wilderness survival challenge. Together, they work to build a shelter, start a fire, and find food and water using only the tools at their disposal. It's a challenging task, but the Woodchucks prove their mettle and earn their badges with pride.
In the end, the Brady family returns home from their camping trip feeling closer than ever. They've discovered that there's much to learn from the world of scouting, and that the Great Outdoors can be a wonderful teacher. And as they settle back into their daily routines, they're grateful for the experience and the memories that they've made together.
