As Amy prepares to host a Victorian-themed Christmas party, she calls on Penny for help in arranging the decorations and getting the requisite amount of gift baskets prepared. Meanwhile, Sheldon, who has no interest in attending the party, is determined to find the perfect gift for Amy. In the process, he meddles in the affairs of his fellow scientists at Caltech, drawing on his characteristic wit and cunning to manipulate the situation in his favor. One by one, he convinces each of his friends to return to the stores where they initially purchased their gifts, in hopes of finding the one item that will surpass Amy's expectations. Raj, Howard, and Leonard all join in on the hunt, creating chaos and entertaining mishaps along the way. With time running out, they must find a way to procure the perfect trinket and make it to Amy's party before it's too late.
