Ep 8. The Grasshopper Experiment

Leonard and Sheldon decide to hit up a bar instead of their usual routine of playing video games over the weekend. At the bar, they meet a group of attractive women who are celebrating work promotions. Despite their initial reluctance, the girls invite Leonard and Sheldon to join them for drinks. Leonard and Sheldon prove to be unsuccessful at impressing the women with their intelligence and end up getting heavily intoxicated instead. Later, they return to the apartment and decide to conduct an experiment involving making grasshoppers drink alcohol. Meanwhile, Howard and Raj end up getting thrown out of the bar because Howard tries to be too aggressive with flirtation. The two end up getting stoned at the park where they accidentally meet a homeless man who teaches them a valuable lesson. In the end, the grasshopper experiment goes awry and leaves a lasting impression on the group. The episode ends with Sheldon receiving a text from one of the girls he met earlier in regards to a date.
