Ep 17. The Tangerine Factor

The Big Bang Theory is a popular American sitcom that follows the lives of four socially awkward scientists and their attractive and intelligent neighbor. In the seventeenth episode of season one, titled The Tangerine Factor, the gang's love lives take center stage.

At the same time, Howard decides to try his luck on an online dating website, and after a few less-than-successful dates, he finally meets a woman who seems perfect for him. She's smart, funny, and shares his love of science fiction. But when they finally meet in person, Howard realizes that she looks nothing like her online photo and that he's been deceived. He's so disappointed that he decides to give up on dating altogether.

Meanwhile, Raj is struggling with his inability to speak to women unless he's drunk. He and the guys go to a bar, where Raj drinks himself into a state of courage and finally talks to a girl. However, he's so drunk that he can barely stand, and the girl quickly loses interest. Despite his failed attempt, Raj decides to keep trying, but only after drinking enough to give him the courage he needs.

In The Tangerine Factor, the characters all face their own struggles in the dating world, but they all ultimately learn valuable lessons about love, self-confidence, and the importance of being true to yourself. The episode is a funny, heartfelt exploration of the ups and downs of modern dating, and a great example of what makes The Big Bang Theory such a beloved and enduring sitcom.
