The Beverly Hillbillies season 5 episode 11, titled "Granny Lives It Up," follows the antics of the Clampett family as they try to adjust to their new luxurious lifestyle in Beverly Hills. In this episode, Granny, the matriarch of the family, gets fed up with the mundane nature of her life and decides to take matters into her own hands.

Granny's dissatisfaction with her daily routine stems from the fact that her daughter-in-law, Elly May, has taken over all the cooking in the household. Feeling that she is no longer needed in the kitchen, Granny becomes listless and bored. To fill the void in her life, Granny decides to embark on a wild and adventurous streak, much to the chagrin of her family.

Her first adventure is to join a group of motorcycle riders who are passing through Beverly Hills. Granny eagerly dons a leather jacket and hops onto the back of a motorcycle, vowing to ride with the group until they reach their destination. Despite her family's protests, and the fact that she has never ridden a motorcycle before, Granny is adamant about living life to the fullest.

Her next escapade involves sneaking into a swanky nightclub, where she proceeds to drink and dance the night away. Granny's antics draw the attention of the other club-goers, who are both shocked and amused by the spunky older woman. Once again, her family is left trying to keep up with her and prevent her from going too far.

The final straw comes when Granny decides to take up gambling. She becomes infatuated with the thrill of the game and spends all her time at the casino. Her lucky streak comes to an abrupt end, however, when she loses all her money and is unable to pay her hotel bill. Desperate for a solution, Granny comes up with a plan to sell her beloved pet raccoon, which causes a rift in the family.

Throughout the episode, the Clampett's struggle to understand Granny's sudden change in behavior, and attempt to intervene before things get out of hand. The episode is a lighthearted and humorous take on the generational divide between the traditional values of Granny, and the modern lifestyle of her Beverly Hills family.

In conclusion, "Granny Lives It Up" is a fun and entertaining episode that highlights the quirky nature of the Clampett family. Through Granny's antics, viewers are reminded of the importance of living life to the fullest, regardless of age or circumstance. The episode also shows the love and support that the family has for one another, even when they don't always understand each other's motivations.
