The Beverly Hillbillies season 1 episode 19, titled "Elly's Animals," follows the Clampetts as they continue to adjust to life in Beverly Hills. In this episode, Elly May has acquired a collection of exotic animals, and the family must figure out how to care for them properly.

The episode begins with Elly May showing off her latest acquisitions to her family. She has a monkey, a baby elephant, a kangaroo, and a pair of twin pandas. The family is both impressed and overwhelmed by the animals, and they quickly realize that they have no idea how to take care of them.

Jed decides to seek the advice of their neighbor, Mrs. Drysdale, who is known for her expertise in all things Beverly Hills. Mrs. Drysdale, however, is less than thrilled to be dealing with the Clampetts and their menagerie. She tells Jed that he needs to get rid of the animals before they cause any problems.

Meanwhile, Elly May is struggling to keep up with the demands of caring for all of her animals. She spends all of her time feeding, grooming, and playing with them, and she isn't able to keep up with her other responsibilities. Granny tries to help out by giving the animals some home remedies, but they end up causing more harm than good.

As the episode progresses, the Clampetts' animals begin to cause all sorts of trouble. The elephant escapes from the backyard and goes on a rampage through the city, causing damage to cars and buildings. The monkey causes chaos at a nearby pet store, and the pandas wreak havoc in the Drysdale's garden.

Throughout all of the chaos, Elly May remains determined to keep her animals and make sure they are taken care of. Her love for them is clear, and she refuses to listen to anyone who tells her to get rid of them.

Eventually, Mrs. Drysdale comes up with a plan to get rid of the animals once and for all. She arranges for a zoo to come and pick them up, promising Elly May that they will be well cared for. Elly May is heartbroken but ultimately agrees to let them go.

As the episode ends, the Clampetts reflect on their experiences with the animals and realize that they weren't ready to take care of them properly. They vow to care for any future pets they acquire with more responsibility and caution.

Overall, "Elly's Animals" is a fun and lighthearted episode of The Beverly Hillbillies that showcases the family's beloved daughter and her love for animals. While some of the scenes may seem a bit dated by modern standards, the message about responsible pet ownership is still relevant today.
