The Beverly Hillbillies season 1 episode 12, titled "The Great Feud", follows the antics of the Clampett family as they navigate their new life in Beverly Hills. In this episode, the family finds themselves embroiled in a feud with another Beverly Hills family, the Henshaws.
It all begins when the Clampetts' truck breaks down and they seek refuge at a nearby mansion, unaware that it belongs to the Henshaws. Upon learning that the Clampetts are "hillbillies" from the Ozarks, the Henshaws are none too pleased. The two families quickly come to blows and the feud escalates.
Meanwhile, Jed and his niece Elly May take a trip to the mall where Elly May falls in love with a pair of expensive shoes. Jed, ever the frugal one, insists that they cannot afford such luxury items. However, when he sees how upset Elly May is, he hatches a plan to make some extra money by selling Granny's moonshine.
Back at the mansion, the feud between the Clampetts and the Henshaws has reached a boiling point. When Mr. Henshaw threatens to have the Clampetts evicted from their Beverly Hills mansion, Jed decides to take matters into his own hands. He challenges Mr. Henshaw to a race, with the winner getting to keep their mansion.
The race is a wild and hilarious affair, with the Clampetts' old truck going up against the Henshaws' sleek sports car. In the end, the Clampetts emerge victorious, thanks to Jed's clever trickery.
With the feud settled and their mansion secure, the Clampetts return home to enjoy their victory. However, Jed can't help but feel guilty about his dishonesty in the race. He decides to use the money they earned from selling Granny's moonshine to buy Elly May her expensive shoes.
Overall, "The Great Feud" is a classic episode of The Beverly Hillbillies, filled with humor, heart, and hijinks. Fans of the show will love watching the Clampetts as they once again triumph over the snooty Beverly Hills elite.
