Ep 21. Sweet Home Chicago (1)

Bernie, his wife Wanda, and their three nieces and nephew calm down after arriving in their hometown of Chicago. They planned to attend a family reunion. Bernie is stunned to see what has happened to the neighborhood where he grew up, where Bernie appears ashamed to let the children see what has happened to their community. Bernie runs into an old pal named Curtis by chance. Curtis is now working as a cop in the same area. Curtis offers to help Bernie escort his family to their grandmother's home in the safer part of town. Meanwhile, Bernie must cope with his cunning cousin Denny who Bamboozles him into investing in a terrible housing project by showing him a few deception documents. The family eventually arrives at Bernie's grandmother's home, where the kids are disappointed to discover that their grandmother is not as wealthy as they had hoped. However, Bernie gives his children a few words of wisdom about the importance of family and respect. Bernie also warns Denny that he will never trust him again.
