On the first episode of The Beauty Inside, we are introduced to the charismatic and handsome Woo-jin, who seems like the perfect catch for any woman. However, there's one thing that sets him apart from everyone else - he transforms into a different person every day.
Woo-jin's condition, known as Prosopagnosia, makes it impossible for him to recognize people's faces, including his own. Every morning he wakes up as a different person with a new face, but with the same heart, mind, and soul. The different faces he takes on are all different ages, genders, and ethnicities, and it's only through his voice and the way he carries himself that people can recognize him from day to day.
Despite his unique condition, Woo-jin has learned to live a successful life as an established furniture designer, but he remains a mystery to those around him. That is until his childhood friend, Kang Sa-ra, comes back into town and starts working as a furniture sales rep at his company. As she tries to connect with Woo-jin, she comes across his secret and is fascinated by it.
However, things take a drastic turn when Woo-jin's best friend and business partner, Seo-woo, is diagnosed with brain cancer. As Seo-woo's condition worsens, Woo-jin's life becomes even more complicated, and he must learn to navigate his condition and his personal life while dealing with the emotional turmoil of his friend's health crisis.
The first episode of The Beauty Inside sets up the storyline perfectly, introducing us to the main characters and the complex nature of Woo-jin's condition. The cinematography is very well done, showcasing the different faces Woo-jin assumes and the ways in which he tries to interact with the people around him.
The acting is also excellent, with Seo Hyun-jin portraying a strong and determined Kang Sa-ra, who is determined to uncover the truth about Woo-jin, while Lee Min-ki gives a nuanced performance as the enigmatic Woo-jin, who is struggling to maintain his identity and relationships amidst his condition.
The soundtrack is also very well done, with heart-wrenching ballads that reflect the emotional turmoil the characters are going through. It's a beautiful and engaging story that will keep you hooked from start to finish.
Overall, The Beauty Inside is a unique and captivating show that explores the complexities of identity and relationships. With fantastic acting, cinematography, and soundtrack, it's definitely worth a watch.
