After the collapse of the bridge over the Strait of Messina, everyone is convinced that Nino Scotellaro is dead. His sister Leonarda is convinced of it: she has to live with the idea of her brother having been in collusion with the Mafia. His wife Luvi is convinced of it as well; after having failed as a lawyer in the defense of her husband, she has put her legal career on hold and reinvented herself as a wedding host at her farmhouse.
