Despite this, Prock realizes that they all have something to offer and decides to give them a chance.
As the team gears up for their first mission, they are interrupted by a group called the Malloys, who are also a team of superheroes. The Malloys are arrogant and ridiculing towards the Awesomes, claiming that they are the better team. This rivalry sets the stage for the rest of the season, as the Awesomes try to prove themselves as a competent team of superheroes.
The episode concludes with the team heading out on their first mission and encountering their first challenge. It's clear that the team has a long way to go before they can truly call themselves superheroes, but they are determined to make it work.
Overall, "Pilot, Part 1" serves as a great introduction to the world of the Awesomes and sets up the season's overarching storyline.
