Bacon and Tomato's Big Adventure is the third episode of The Aquarium season 2. The episode starts with a new arrival at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. The newest resident is a southern stingray, and the aquarium staff has to be very careful while transporting her to her new home. The team at the aquarium carefully prepares a bucket of water for the stingray, making sure the water is the perfect temperature and has all the elements she needs to survive.
Once the stingray is safely settled into her new home, the focus shifts to two other animals, Bacon and Tomato, the resident sea otters at the aquarium. The two sea otters are getting ready for a big adventure. The aquarium's staff has planned a special trip for them to explore a new exhibit, the Ocean Voyager.
The Ocean Voyager is one of the biggest exhibits at the aquarium, and it's filled with a variety of sea creatures. It's a perfect adventure for Bacon and Tomato, who love to explore and play. Bacon and Tomato are ushered into a transport carrier, and they make their way to the Ocean Voyager exhibit. They are joined by their caretakers, who will be watching out for them during their adventure.
As soon as they arrive at the Ocean Voyager, Bacon and Tomato become very curious, and they start exploring the new surroundings. They are greeted by some giant manta rays and whale sharks, which are massive creatures compared to the otters. Bacon and Tomato are cautious at first, but after a while, they get comfortable with their new surroundings and start playing around.
The aquarium staff arranged a special treat for Bacon and Tomato, and it's one they won't soon forget. Their caretakers toss a frozen block of shrimp into the water, and the otters go crazy for it. They quickly swim over to the shrimp and start picking it apart. It's a fun moment, and the caretakers are thrilled to see the sea otters having so much fun.
After their shrimp feast, Bacon and Tomato continue their adventure, swimming around and exploring everything in the Ocean Voyager exhibit. They encounter all kinds of creatures, including some colorful fish and small sea turtles. The otters seem fascinated by everything they see, and their playful antics are a joy to watch.
The episode also focuses on other animals at the aquarium. We see some amazing footage of a 14-foot-long sawfish swimming gracefully through the water. The sawfish is a critically endangered species, and it's amazing to see one up close.
Another highlight of the episode is a blacktip shark feeding session. The staff prepares a special meal of fish and squid for the sharks, and they watch as the blacktips swim by and gobble up the food.
As the episode comes to a close, Bacon and Tomato make their way back to their exhibit after a fun-filled adventure in the Ocean Voyager. The episode concludes with the aquarium's staff preparing for some new arrivals. It's an exciting time at the Georgia Aquarium, and there's always something new and exciting happening.
